Good Report and Seahorse

After school this afternoon, Mom took me to North Port to pick up my Seahorse I painted last week. It turned out really nice and I like it.
Today I also received my Mid-Term Report from school on it's 4th quarter already, can you believe that? Anyway the report was nothing but GOOD!! Mom as always was very pleased with it, I needed no improvements at all and the teacher wrote a little note on it that said: Sam is an awesome Student! with a smiley face. Mom, had to retake the last picture because when she clicked on it she saw my name and school on their so she wanted to protect my identity from weirdo's. Visit with Grandparents and New Clothes

This morning Mom, Grandmom and I drove down to Estero to visit my other Grandparents as their leaving for Maine in a few days. We had lunch together with them at my favorite restaurant "Apple Bees"...yup that place again. Then Grandpa went off to work and both Grand mom's, Mom and I headed off to the Miromar Outlets, Mom just loves "The Children's Place" clothing store for my clothes and she got herself some good deals as she would say. Pictured are the 6 pair of shorts and 3 shirts she got me. She even saved an additional 25% because she signed up for a card. That made Mom's day - saving money is a good thing,
that way it leaves more money for her to buy me other things with besides clothes all the time. Then Mom walked over to Gymboree while my Grand mom's a I waited and wouldn't you know it she said they had a 60% off sale and got me another shirt. I'm set for the summer and even again when school starts, I can wear the same clothes. Mom said she can't buy anything anymore for me unless I try things on, because every time she gets things for me, they end up to small it's because I'm growing so fast. No sooner then we got home, Mom and I had to drive over to walmart to pick Dad up as he's carpooling now with 2 of his friends to Ft Myers. So while at walmart my friend Makayla is turning 10 on the 1st so we got her a DS game that she's been wanting.

Our Project

Meg, Sheigh and I went to the Pottery Place to make a Mother's Day gift for our Mom's. Aunt Chrisann and Mom dropped the 3 of us off for 2 hours - I can't say what I made Mom but I'm sure she will love it. It won't be ready till Wednesday of next week. After our project was done Mom, Aunt Chrisann and Dad came back for the 3 of us and they took us to "Sonic" I love that place, I think that's my favorite new place to go. Oh one other thing I should also mention that yesterday Mom freaked out when she said a new sign laying on the ground around the corner from our house. There were 2 signs laying on the ground, one was the Hampton Inn sign which is right by us, but it was sharing with a new one that said "Apple Bees" coming soon, I was in heaven myself....woo hoo we're getting an Apple Bees a mile away from us.

Lunch with Dad & Adam

David and Adam come up today to have lunch with Sam. For those of you who don't know Adam, he's Lori's son which is his Dad's girlfriend. He's a big kid for being 15. And the children in Sam's class loved him as he was like a big goof ball to them...one of the children said Mrs. J....where did you get him? I thought that was really funny so I told Adam and he said we got him from Walmart because he still had his tag on him. It was his visitors pass, then of course they all wanted David and Adam to see the sculpture we made out of recycled materials, so we went to class and I got this really nice picture of Sam and David. I haven't seen David look this good in a long time...

Sam read to Grand-Mom

I had media today at school and Mom ask me to get some books about "Pandas" being I like them so much. And because I came home today with NO homework, Mom ask me to read this book to her and Grand-Mom. I got stuck on 2 of the words which were - territory and mainly, but after I used my magic thumb I had no problems pronouncing them. Mom was completely happy because after I read it she told me that I just read a 4th grade reading book, it's an AR 4.1 with 0.5 points.

My first piece of Art!

Mom took me after school today to North Port to a Pottery Painting place so that I could paint something, out of all the things to paint I choose a Sea Horse to paint and Mom signed me up for a Thursday afternoon class as well. I had a lot of fun and my art won't be done til Saturday. This is me painting my project and I'm sure it's going to look much better after it has it's finishing touch! Pictured with me is Mrs. Liz - she's the owner of the store and she's showing me all the different kinds of paint to choose from.

"Project 00"

This morning at school we had a Author come to our school to talk about a book he wrote called "Project 00". The school had sent home pre-order forms for his book and Mom didn't want to order one because she knew nothing about his book. Well after watching and hearing him talk about it, I didn't know but Mom was taking pictures then walked away from the class to ask him if she could take his picture for our class DVD she's making and he said sure. After she had a little chat with him, she told him that his dream video made her tear up and that she wanted to buy a book right then and there, but he had none for sale. He ask her to grab me (Sam) so that I could get my picture taken with him, before she took the picture I'm guessing Mom said just the right words to where he was trying to locate one of his books that was in his briefcase and gave it to me, he signed it to me and gave me his autograph, I never had a writer give me a book, never the less have my picture taken with one. That was an exciting thing that happened to me today. And guess what else? I'm the only kid in the whole school with his book and signed personally to me. Thank you so much Mr. Dow Kump

Earth Day

Earth Day
Today is Earth Day - Makayla and I had the same shirt one because Mom made 2 of them and gave one to Makayla. Isn't she the cutest girl? Well the other picture is a sculpture Mom made out of our recycling things we took to school. And this is what we ended up with and it took Mom all day to hot glue him together. All of us kids had a chance to work with it, Mom took pictures but can't post them, only ones of me. My Teacher said she will give it to someone at the end of the year, and then the kids said how about Mrs. J I was like OK! Then she said she will give it to the child who has the most STARS at the end of the year, and guess who that kid is? If you guest me your right, I haven't moved my bus all year.

Forgot about this video

This video was taken on April 17th just last week at Awana. Mr. K let the kids play something a little different and they all really seem to enjoy it! Sam did for

T-Shirts (Mom) made

My Mom made this shirt for me to wear tomorrow being it's "Earth Day". I can't wait to wear it to school and show all of my friends.
She also made this one today - she had an extra shirt to put something on it and thought long and hard about what she wanted to put on it. I can't wait til next month when we have our "Teddy Bear Picnic".

Good Weekend!

Sam had a great weekend, he got to spend 2 nights with his Dad in Naples and hang out with Laurie and Adam, and played wii games and such.
After we picked Sam up - we decided to go over to the nursing home to see Dad's Grandmother one more time. See is my Great Grandmother and she isn't doing all that great. We kind of said our last goodbye to her, as she's giving up eating food and has lost lots of weight. She really looked different to me. I don't even think she knew
we were even there. We only hung around for like 5 minutes at the most. Then we went off to Apples Bees for a early kind of dinner. I got mac & cheese and an oreo shake....yum yum.
After that Mom took us to North Port to show me something that she thought I would really like, and she was right about that. It's a pottery place where I can make all kinds of neat art things and paint. She's taking me up on Tuesday after I get my homework done. I saw all kinds of neat things I wanted to paint and prefect for Christmas gifts for all of my Grand Parents. Then we drove down the road to a new place Mom saw when she found the pottery place and that was Sonic. I got another ice cream....what a great day for sure.

Book Fair....

Today was Sam's classes turn to go to the Book Fair, all the kids were so happy. I almost forgot to get pictures, I was busy helping the children finds books they wanted. I volunteered this morning at the book fair waiting for Sam's class to show up and met a few of the other parents who child was in that class as well. It was nice chatting with Donal's Mom and finally I got to exchange phone numbers with her as we have been wanting Donal to come over and play. So anyway Sam is always thinking of his teacher in such good ways. He saw this pointer at the Book Fair and said Mom Mrs. Mitchell use to have one until one of the kids broke it, I suggested to Sam that maybe he should get her one and loved the idea. So he said she use to have a red one, maybe she'll like a blue one this time? I told him to get it and gave it to her. Here he's pictured explaining to Mrs. M remember how you use to have a pointer and someone broke it, she said yeah - he said here I got this for you and she was sooooo happy, she loved it. Before the class left the book fair Mrs. M had mentioned to the kids to say thank you to Mrs. J (me) for buying there class some new books. Every year during book fair the kids come home with like a coupon for the parents to fill out to donate money to their teacher for buying new books for the kids to read, and wouldn't you know it (none of the children) gave Mrs. M a coupon for buying books except for Sam's Mom (Me), we gave her $25.00 and she ended up buying lots of new books for the kids.

Another Celebration

I was so excited this afternoon when I got home from school. First off before I go into our dinner I want to share with you my report card. When Mom picked me up at the bus stop I told her I got my report card today and she ask was it good? I said I'm not sure Mom but you can look at it when we get home. She jump for joy when she saw it. The most exciting thing about it was I had (3) grades that went from an "S" to an "O", s is for Satisfactory: meaning meets expectations at this time and an O stands for OUTSTANDING: exceeds expectations at this time. Wow I said when Mom read that to me, so I got 4 s's and 5 O's - I'm very proud of myself as well and to top that off looking at the right top hand corner I have still NO DAYS ABSENT from school...woo hoo. We have about 8 more weeks of school to go and I'm going to try my best not to miss any days...

Now I said later on to Mom that I was excited knowing that I'm going to eat all of my dinner tonight and she looked at me like you are. I said remember Mom today is our Anniversary and you promised me a week ago that we could go to the "Olive Garden" for dinner, she completely forgot about that and said I don't think we're going tonight because Grand mom was making our dinner. I was a little bit sad, so Mom called Dad up to see what he thought - his thoughts because I got such a GREAT report card that it wouldn't be a problem so we went out for dinner.

Remember anytime there is a photo or any kind posted, you can always CLICK on that picture and it will get bigger for you to see it.

Lots of things went on!

Wow what a day of exciting things going on today. It's my Grand-mom's 67th Birthday, it's ours and I say our because we're in this together, our 20th month Anniversary on waiting for my sister from China...yup 20 whole months down and how many more to go? My Dad came up and had lunch with Mom and I at school. And then it was off to the doctors office as it was our rescheduled date. Mom, didn't cancel the doctors appointment for my head because she really wanted to show the doctor what came out. The doctor showed no concern over it and told me it appeared that Mom took care of the problem. I told the doctor that my Mom saved my life. Then it was home to do homework. I wanted to say that I really do love my Mom, she has kept an great eye out on my head and already the bump is disappearing.

Shocking

Well guess what we have here pictured? Mom and I were playing in the pool and she kept looking at my head where that bump was, she said it was all red and puffy looking. She ask me to come so she can view it more as she shown concern over it. Mom took her thumbs together and said she was going to squeeze it just a little bit and look what came out "a little piece of road" and it was right at the surface of my head. How in earth did a rock get in my head, she thought about it for some time and she remembered me telling her I got hit in the head with a ball at Dad's house and thought maybe the ball touched the ground and planted itself in my head. But the thing is it never hurt my head and I didn't tell Dad that it hurt, there was no blood or crying or anything like that going on.

"Nims Island"

Today I had a doctors appointment for a bump on my head that I've had for a while now and the out come well nothing yet, because the office was so packed with sick kids and the office closed at noon that Mom rescheduled me for Tuesday. So after a long wait of 50 minutes I was concerned that we were going to miss our movie "Nims Island" Mom assured me that I wouldn't miss it. Grand mom, Jordan, Myself and Mom went to see this movie and I loved it. I told Mom that I wanted to see it again and she said she wasn't taken me to see it again, as I will end up getting it on DVD.

Mom's post

Mom just had to post this one! She was reading an email and I walked into the living room to change the channel on the TV to watch my program. She said Sam after I'm done with this email I'm going to watch something and ask me to watch it on my big TV. I didn't want to do that - I said Mom but I want to watch it on the big TV she said watch it in my room, I said that TV is too small for me although it's 36". I still wanted to watch the one in the living room and again I said but Mom. She said Sam look you have your own big TV watch that one, I said but Mom the one in the living room is bigger, she said it's the same size knowing it's not. I said Mom my TV is 50" and the one in the living room is 52" so that means the one in the living room is 2 inches taller and she said OK fine....with tons of laughter with that comment.

Dad came for a Visit

Dad came up for a visit today and what a surprise to myself. Mom never told me that he was coming up, she kept a good secret. So when Dad got here I was like really happy to see him. I couldn't wait to go to his house this week then he told me that he was going on a cruise and that I won't be going to his house, I felt disappointed and I didn't let him know, but he took Mom and I out to Apple Bees for lunch and hung around till around 4 so I pretty much forgot about this weekend. But, being that Mom agreed to let me go tomorrow night made it all better. Mom is taking me to Awana just for Bible studies then she's taking me to meet him at our 1/2 way spot so that I can spend the night. I'm so glad that my parents get along well together - some of the kids at my school are not that lucky...I'm very lucky for a little child. And I thank GOD just about every night for my parents.
