Mom, got a really neat Wii game for Christmas. It's the only thing she wanted and I have to agree with her it's a neat game. My cousin Adam who lives in Maryland came to my town today and we played together for a few hours. A few hours of pure FUN!!! Adam is the one with the hat on his head.
This is Adam and myself now playing outside, we took a tour in the Museum And here I am in the city getting his hair done.
We went to the Christmas Eve service this evening and it was so very nice. I took my DS because we got there early but I decided to help pass the candles out to everyone who came in. We were also ask to light the 5 advent candles and were very delighted to do so. Dad lite the 2 back ones, I got the 2 in the front and Mom lite the middle one. We are so very liked in our Church. The pastor made a big deal out of Dad this evening because he's the youngest Diaconate, and he's in charge of them. Mom, plays a roll as well being a Deacon, she really likes it, she's such a people person. Now it's time for the children at our Church to sing: Baby Jesus! I hasn't heard the song before so Mr. Pierre gave us a copy of the music on CD and this morning we listened to it 4 times and I felt I was ready. I made it a point to be the first one on the stage and center I may add. I wanted all the school personal to see me singing. My Pre-K, 2nd and 3rd grade teacher there, also me stem lab and PE teacher there - I'm sure I was a big hit for them and I was far the cutest boy there, I had to add that one in. So if you're looking for me, I'm the handsome one in the back row standing next to the cute little girl in the black and red dress.
Now at home, we decided to watch a Pink Panther Christmas movie that Dad picked up today, I laughed my little tail off. Afterwards, it was just about time for bed and I decided that I needed to leave Santa a gift. I went over to my toy box and pulled out this blue flash light for him. I really thought that maybe he may need it to get back home and even ask for some extra batteries. I wrote who it was from on his light so that Santa would remember where he got it from.
Sam's teacher loved her gifts from him. We went shopping at the Gospel Christian Book Store. The mug was just beautiful - she got a mug, book and a book mark along with a penguin candy dish from the Santa shop at school that Sam picked out for her. Doesn't my boy look handsome? I went shopping the night before at Dillard's that's where I love to shop for Sam's clothes and got him that sweater and shirt, I got myself a shirt just like it in the boy's department, hey I'm thinking ahead Sam can wear that when he's 13.
So now school is closed for Christmas break, all the kids were way to excited about that being their last day till the new year. Sam, told me he doesn't have anymore homework this year, he will get some in 2009.
Mom, came into school a second day and we made our last Christmas ornament for ourselves. This time it was a Christmas bulb - they were kind of neat, she gave all of us kids a choice of color and shape. Mom, stayed the whole day again - my teacher told me she wanted to keep my Mom after I moved onto 4th grade.
After we came home - Mom made some Santa Claus cup cakes for my class for tomorrow. She's going back in tomorrow to finish up with one boy who was out sick this week in hoping he shows up.
Mom volunteered at school today as she picked up a few different Christmas ornaments for the kids to make a while back. All the kids in my class were so excited to make something. Mom does this every year and has since I started school. My class just loves my mom. None of them wanted her to leave, so she stayed all day long, gosh was she tired - she went to bed at 8:30pm. As you can see I made myself a penguin.
Today Sam is not feeling so good! The poor little thing woke up this morning with a sight headache and sore throat...and I know just where he got it, from me (MOM). I haven't been feeling good myself for a few days with the same thing. This is the first time he's been sick in a long time and he feels somewhat bad about missing school being he's had prefect attendance for the past yr and a half. I just had to post this picture because it's such a good one of both my handsome guys. Tonight at Church was a Christmas Concert which Sam really didn't like, but everyone loved him. Watching him come into Church with that big bunch of flowers was just too breath taking. The flowers are for Sundays service so we decided to take them in a day early.
Today while in Estero - Mom, Dad and I met his brother (uncle Ted) and his family at the Picture People for our annual Christmas picture of us kids. OK, maybe not annual as this is our 2nd one, being the first took place in 2006. They are my cousins Michael 12, Billy 12, Maryann 10 and Mindy 17. Mom made this scrap book page for Mindy to print out, I hope she likes it because it really looks nice. Michael and Mindy are brother and sister and Billy and Maryann are brother and sister, so their are 2 sets here if anyone wanted to know. Maybe next time I will have my sister with me and we will be a set of 3. this is the picture that Mom wanted to buy, so she got a 10x13
Today would have also been something special as Mom never lets my Dad forget, but if they were still married, today would have marked their 10th Anniversary! How can anyone not want to be married to my Mom? She's the greatest person I know, but at least she had my other Dad.
Update on that little puppy dog! Today Mom came to school as it was a fun day for the whole school and she took pictures. She was helping out my 2nd grade teacher with there International Feast outside and was running between classes all day. Our class just read all day long. Mom came to my class first and set up her background chimney paper to take pictures later and then off she went to 2nd grade.
She said while in the empty class room with Mrs. M's kids the phone rang and she got a message saying a little girl in Mrs. N's class right across the hall from where she was was a little girl who lost her puppy. Mom went over to talk to the teacher and the little girl and come to find out, the puppy belonged to her. Mom then came to class to get me so that I can meet the little girl who lost her puppy. She was cute and her name is Leeann.
So anyway getting to the pictures below: This is what Mom took of my whole class but she's just showing me and my cousins. Meg is not in my class but Mom never leaves Meg out of a project. Mom is going to be making a Christmas project with my class next month as she brought 2 different things for the class to do and one of them require a picture. My Mom always treats the kids in my class good - I don't ever remember seeing any other Mom's coming to school and making projects like my Mom does....she's simply the BEST!!
So after we got home - the owners of the little puppy came by to pick him up. Mom and I talked to Leeann and her Mom Anna for a while about the puppy who's name ended up being "Spike", we called him "Seasons". It was such a happy moment for all of us and a little bit of tears along the way. Mrs. Anna said she put up a few flyers herself and had a reward out for her little guy and being we took care of him and she was grateful for his safe return, she had Leeann gave me a $100.00 bill - WOW I said and we said thanks. Mrs. Anna said we can come by anytime to see him. She was so very thankful that my Mom found him because most people would have kept him and Mom said we need to do the right thing and find his family and that's just what happened.
My Mom found this beautiful little puppy this morning after she left school. It's a boy and he's a Chihuahua. Mom said after she left school she saw this little thing walking down the street and no one in site. He had a injured back left leg, she stopped the car got out and picked him up.
When I got off the bus - I saw my Mom holding this little puppy and wondered who's it was, when she told me she found it I was like REALLY!! I was in heaven with this little puppy. Mom was making up some flyer's to post around the school where she had found him so that the owner wouldn't be missing him too much more. We did have him for one whole day. But I have to say that night wanting to be close - I was starting to feel a little sick from him. I was sneezing like crazy and it wouldn't stop - I felt very sad because I was so hoping that my allergies were getting better but I guess not.
I can't believe Sam came home with another mid-term report. Where does the time go? He got 4 A's and 1 B - the b was in math, so it looks like we need to work with him on that a little more.
The 3 of us went outside last night to toss a football. Sam, has just a little problem catching a ball so we wanted to get him into some practice throws. he did pretty good. Then of course Dad got hit in the eye by the ball as Sam tossed it and the game was over. We played maybe 30 minutes and had fun.
Dad and Sam had a great time together as they both got to spend the weekend together just the two of them. Sam, said he enjoyed being with Dad - they did the movies, pizza, beach, played games and other things.
David emailed this picture to me of Sam getting ready for trick or treating. This was the last pic I received and David said: Sam ate a good junk of what he got. There were so many kids out he didn't get as much as he thought
Today was 3rd grade day field day at school and the theme for 3rd graders was "Sports". They do themes to get away from the scary stuff and I can't blame them.
My Mom and Dad helped with games and such, OK Dad did for the most part - because Mom figure that there were so many parents volunteers that she would be the 3rd grade photographer and none of the teachers had a problem with that.
I Sam, ran into a horrible situation that scared the day lights out of me and my Mom. I was playing tug a war - the children on my end fall down and then I was loaded with black ants....oh gees, what is Mom doing to do I ask? She ripped my shirt right off my back and ran with me to the Nurse's office. I'm not allergic to ants it's just that I was covered and needed other clothes to wear. We were running across the field with me being compleley shirtless and about 1/2 the kids in school watching me. But she couldn't have me walking or even running with a shirt covered with ants on my body.
So after mom got me taken care of she went on taking pictures. She then came home downloaded 139 pics + some video. Now this is Mom talking because Sam's isn't here, I opened up my DVD program, put together a 16 minute DVD - burning 10 copies and labeled each of them. Come Monday morning I will drop off a copy to each 3rd grade class and the kids are just going to love it. You all must be thinking 10 copies? Well one for myself to go into Sam's box of memories when he's older and the other 9 is because this little elementary school has 9 3rd grade classes. The video is just darling. It took me a total of about 4 1/2 hours to do. Sam's teachers is a little bit more personalized go figure with a group picture of all her kids on the front of the DVD.
I decided to work out all because of my BMI. A few weeks ago at school, I had an eye test, weight taken, ear test and other things. Needless to say Mom got in the mail today the results of that test and it said my BMI was 85.54% which puts me in a bad place. So I ask Mom if I could walk on the treadmill, and today at school I have joined the mileage club. So that means instead of me running around on the play ground during recess, I get to walk or run around the school track as many times as I can. Maybe I knew something and that's why I decided to join - how funny and doing it today. Mom said she was proud of me and worked out while I was working out.
Sam, comes home every week with a stapled pile of work that he's done throughout the week, which was the week before. And each week, he has the best grades and little notes from his teacher. I'm going to run by what type of grades he's bringing home. 5/5 100% 26/26 completed 5/5 100% 6/8 9/10 36/36 100% with note saying I am so proud of your hard work on Shark Lady 28/28
and a Dear Sam, You have done an amazing job this quarter. Thanks for all your hard work. Student's like you make teaching wonderful. Love, Mrs. W
This child should be coming home with all *A*'s on his report card, every week he brings stuff like this home. We are so very proud of Sam ourselves. He's reading more and more and getting more AR points. Now I just need for him to take a book to Dad's when he's visiting and have him read with Sam as well to build up even more points.
Sam's friend Ben came over today and spent most of the day here. We had a meeting to go to at Church and afterwards, we took Sam over to walmart to get his newest game he wanted. I keep asking myself if he's a bit spoiled? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't - what difference does it make anyway right? Well Grand mom Ruth promised him that game, she told us to pick it up for him and take the money out of her account. I wish she would have waited till Christmas to give him the game but she promised.
What fun I had at the Fall Festival at Church. I got kind of bored after a while because we got there early to help set up. But the good thing is I got to play on all the blow up things before everybody got there. They had a really neat giant slide and basketball court.
So again before all the kids got there - I got my face painted first. I have to say it was nice having it done without standing in line. This is the end result of my painted face!! Then my cousins Meg and Sheigh showed up - Mom didn't think they were coming. Mom loved Meg's Dorthy costume. And this is Mr. Pierre - he's the music man at our Church - he loves our family and we love him. He one day will be my sister's God Father - he will be surprised when the day comes that Dad ask him to be Emma's God Father.
Sam, wanted to play in his new costume - why not I said. First off I got on to make a rock you for his blog and in doing so when I went to get the code for the rock you and pasted it on his blog, it came up with two different people on it, what the heck? Two Mexicans at that - OK yeah I want to put them on Sam's blog NOT!! So I had to just get rid of it and apply the photos itself. So enjoy the pictures - he's pretty excited that he gets to wear it Saturday at Church during our Pumpkin Festival.
It's not every day that Dad gets to have lunch with Sam so today he did. He took off work today and we had lunch with Sam. His class mates thinks it's really cool that Sam has 2 Dad's...they say he's LUCKY and LUCKY he is.
For my 8th birthday my parents took me on the cruise of a lifetime. A Nickelodeon family fun cruise. It was for 7 nights cruising to Cozumel Mexico, George Town, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios Jamaica a Private Destination being LaBadee Haiti aboard the biggest Royl Caribbean cruise ship "The Freedom of the Seas. I had the time of my life. I got to meet 3 famous people Jennette (Sam) and Nathan (Freddie) from iCarly and Tom Kenny the voice of Spongbob Squarepants. Got to ride, play and swim with 2 dolphins. And even met Nathan Kress manager who was sitting right in front of us during a sneak preview of the Gym Teacher - The Movie that Nathan was in. It wasn't a sneak peek, we got to see the movie before it came out on Nick...that was awesome. If you want to see more pictures from our entire cruise go back to my Mom's blog and you will find it under our Travel Blog.
