Merry Christmas!! Sam
First things first once again "Happy Birthday" Jesus!
What a fabulous Christmas! The BEST part about this year was David came up to join us for Christmas! His life hasn't been the same since we ended our marriage in 2003, but life for all of us is a Blessing in itself! Sam, is a lucky little boy to have two great guys who he calls Dad in his life. David was by himself this year, his parents were in Maine where his entire family are and we didn't want him to be alone this year. Todd, my wonderful husband suggested having him up if he takes us up on our offer to spend Christmas Day with us. He has a dog and was concerned leaving him, as he knows we have no animals and we invited his dog to be part of our Christmas as well.
So they both came up Christmas Eve around 8:30p to celebrate this glorious time with us. We all watched Sam put the reindeer food out, watched a Christmas movie, eat a few cookies then we put Santa's cookies and milk out. Then before you knew it it was Christmas morning. Sam, so wanted an xbox 360 but with as tight as things are right now, we just couldn't do it. But then David called and said he really knows Sam wants an xbox and said he couldn't afford to get it either and suggested if we wanted to go in 1/2 and 1/2 it was, it was the best way to go for sure, then his Grandparents went in with it.
So Master Sam had a GREAT Christmas and was very happy. We got David a few things from Sam. My gift that Todd ordered hasn't shown up yet and he ordered that on November 29th from Hong Kong, it was free shipping. He said it's a iphone, but got me a replacement ipod because the one I had just stop working and this one is much nicer and does so much more...woo hoo. Along with that I got $75.00 for i-tunes $50. came with the ipod and David gave us $25. and I got the biggest loser Wii game so Bob and Jillian can kick my butt...lol. $Todd, got himself something for his car, poor guy had to order it himself as I don't do car accessories.

Christmas Eve...
here it is Christmas Eve Dec 24th, 2009 - hard to believe this year is coming to an end. Mom, decided to let Sam open up one gift and that was from Cousin Adam. Adam loved the Goosebumps books and wanted to know if Sam read them. Funny I said because Sam just read his first one about a week prior to Adam asking me that.
So Adam wanted to give Sam his old Goosebumps books that were in very good condition almost like new and I said sure he would love them. And did he? Yes he did, he started going through each book. There be read in no time i'm sure.

and here he is putting the reindeer food out!! He wasn't so sure of it at first, but he layed it out on the grass.

and here is Santa making his way around the world.

Mall day at school!!
Another mall day at school, the 4th graders really love mall. Sam, was co-owners with 3 girls this time as he picked them as his business partners. It goes on for 30 minutes, 15 minutes to sell and 15 minutes to shop. Sam, decided to shop first as the girls sold and here is Sam selling. He was a pretty good business man, here he is holding a snowman candle. He also came up with the business name and of course I made the sign.

Merry Christmas Mrs. Rink
Sam, gave his teacher her Christmas gift this morning and I kid you not, it lQQked like she was going to cry. Mrs. Rink isn't a very popular teacher with 4th graders and I'm not so sure why? We had one run in with her and that was the last one after I had a talk with her. I'm not so sure she will be getting lots of gifts from her Students, but regardless the way she is, she's Sam's teacher and needs to know that we care about her as his teacher. She even gave me (Sherri) a big hug and said I was just so generous. Sam, gave her a few little note pads with the letter (R) on them and 2 $5.00 gift cards to subway. She loved everything and was very appreciated of all.

Sam the silly boy!!
I have a silly boy! Sam is silly! Very silly and has always done just this! No matter what he has to put in his mouth the tongue always comes out first for a quick taste, and it's a taste on the very tip. I was being funny myself, I made him cookies and cream jello pudding and he wanted to know if it was ready to eat. Oh course I said sure Sam it's ready, he wanted to know why I didn't put it in his little bowls that I usually use, I said one big spoon full is the same amount I put in your bowl. So I gave him the spoon and he just laughed this butt off. Ben his friend was over and thought that was just the funniest thing.

Sam, is the BEST!!
Sam, came home today from school with all of his work from the week before as always for me to view. Then I came across the sweetest thing, something titled "Things I Am Thankful For". The top 10 things he's thankful for tugged at my heart. I said to Sam this is just the sweetest thing and ask him if the teacher told him to use the word "GOD". He said no Mom I did that all on my own, but I didn't want to leave out how thankful I was for the Pilgrims to discover our Country. And as I sit here typing this it makes me wonder just what his teacher thought of this when she read it?...I will never know!
if you click on the image, it will get bigger. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Christmas pictures!!
This afternoon my parents and I went to Sears and had our yearly Family Christmas pictures done. Mom usually just gets one pose, but she was having a great hair day and smile so she wanted two different poses. Being that we went there for a family photo, they always seem to take extras of me and Mom never gets them because it's more money and she takes plenty of me as it is.
So the first two poses of just myself she didn't get but thank God she said there on Sears website so she does her famous copy and paste gig. She can still print them if she wants, at least she thinks she hasn't tried it yet.

these are the two poses they went for! Doesn't my Mom have a beautiful smile? Oh and we always seem to dress alike at least the last 3 years, this time Mom wanted to dress in girls clothes instead of boys..lol. She wore one of her favorite shirts that she's had for years. My Grand mom Pris got that for her when my Dad and her were married. My Mom is just beautiful - I think so. And the shirt Dad has on, that's a funny story. Mom got these two shirts last year and she and I dressed up alike for some reason she can't remember, but that's a boys shirt she got for herself at Dillard's along with mine and it's a size 16, she had Dad wear it and it just fit him.

my very own desk
To my surprise when I got home from school there was a desk sitting in the dinning room area just for me. Dad, brought an new (old) desk home for Mom and they were going to get rid of this one, but decided to put it else where for me. I love it - I can't believe I have my own desk for doing homework on now...woo hoo!!

Veterans Day Celebration...
Sam being greeted by Mr. Joe - Mr. Joe attends our Church at Pilgrim and have invited the 3 of us to come down for a visit at the Military Museum and to meet a few other fellow Veterans. What a great visit we had, Sam asked questions as they told stories and he was so into it. Sam actually had a good time and ask that we do this every year on Veterans day but wanted to go around Florida and visit with different sites.

the guys couldn't wait to dress Sam up in uniform!! He makes a good looking military man.

Sam, pictured with 3 Veterans on this special day!!

this young man just came back from being in *Iraq* for 30 months

This is Chuck educating Sam on the Civil War - Sam loved every minute of his talking.

I put this scrap page together for him to share with his class!!

play time with Ben
Ben came over the house today and played for a few hours. The boys are always having a blast together, they are truly good friends and I'm happy they have each other. Ben is a darling boy and they enjoy each other very much.
So, they got in the pool and played for a good hour or more, then Sam wanted to get out and make smores! He loves to roast marshmallows, who wouldn't?

School Project!!
Sam, has his very first school project too work on. He needs to do something on Indians and he choose to do Calusa Indians. With help from his parents, this is what he came up with. It's not due until Wednesday and we let it go for 3 days. Today, we decided it was time to work on it. I think it came out very nice for his first project. He also needs to do a story on it which we together will work on that Sunday night if not Monday for sure. As you can see, his objects came from nature itself, the leaves and branches from outside, the form from Mom's crafts and the Indians we got from "Michael's" craft store. We used some green spray paint we had laying around for the background piece of paper that was white, just to color it up some. I hope he gets a good grade on it?
