Getting ready for trick or treating

David emailed this picture to me of Sam getting ready for trick or treating.

This was the last pic I received and David said: Sam ate a good junk of what he got. There were so many kids out he didn't get as much as he thought

3rd Grade Field Day

Today was 3rd grade day field day at school and the theme for 3rd graders was "Sports". They do themes to get away from the scary stuff and I can't blame them.

My Mom and Dad helped with games and such, OK Dad did for the most part - because Mom figure that there were so many parents volunteers that she would be the 3rd grade photographer and none of the teachers had a problem with that.

I Sam, ran into a horrible situation that scared the day lights out of me and my Mom. I was playing tug a war - the children on my end fall down and then I was loaded with black ants....oh gees, what is Mom doing to do I ask? She ripped my shirt right off my back and ran with me to the Nurse's office. I'm not allergic to ants it's just that I was covered and needed other clothes to wear. We were running across the field with me being compleley shirtless and about 1/2 the kids in school watching me. But she couldn't have me walking or even running with a shirt covered with ants on my body.

So after mom got me taken care of she went on taking pictures. She then came home downloaded 139 pics + some video. Now this is Mom talking because Sam's isn't here, I opened up my DVD program, put together a 16 minute DVD - burning 10 copies and labeled each of them. Come Monday morning I will drop off a copy to each 3rd grade class and the kids are just going to love it. You all must be thinking 10 copies? Well one for myself to go into Sam's box of memories when he's older and the other 9 is because this little elementary school has 9 3rd grade classes. The video is just darling. It took me a total of about 4 1/2 hours to do. Sam's teachers is a little bit more personalized go figure with a group picture of all her kids on the front of the DVD.

Working Out!!

I decided to work out all because of my BMI. A few weeks ago at school, I had an eye test, weight taken, ear test and other things. Needless to say Mom got in the mail today the results of that test and it said my BMI was 85.54% which puts me in a bad place. So I ask Mom if I could walk on the treadmill, and today at school I have joined the mileage club. So that means instead of me running around on the play ground during recess, I get to walk or run around the school track as many times as I can. Maybe I knew something and that's why I decided to join - how funny and doing it today. Mom said she was proud of me and worked out while I was working out.

Dear Sam,
You have done an amazing job this quarter. Thanks for all your hard work. Student's like you make teaching wonderful. Love, Mrs. W

This child should be coming home with all *A*'s on his report card, every week he brings stuff like this home. We are so very proud of Sam ourselves. He's reading more and more and getting more AR points. Now I just need for him to take a book to Dad's when he's visiting and have him read with Sam as well to build up even more points.

is Sam spoiled?

Sam's friend Ben came over today and spent most of the day here. We had a meeting to go to at Church and afterwards, we took Sam over to walmart to get his newest game he wanted. I keep asking myself if he's a bit spoiled? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't - what difference does it make anyway right? Well Grand mom Ruth promised him that game, she told us to pick it up for him and take the money out of her account. I wish she would have waited till Christmas to give him the game but she promised.

Fall Festival

What fun I had at the Fall Festival at Church. I got kind of bored after a while because we got there early to help set up. But the good thing is I got to play on all the blow up things before everybody got there. They had a really neat giant slide and basketball court.

So again before all the kids got there - I got my face painted first. I have to say it was nice having it done without standing in line.

This is the end result of my painted face!!

Then my cousins Meg and Sheigh showed up - Mom didn't think they were coming. Mom loved Meg's Dorthy costume.

And this is Mr. Pierre - he's the music man at our Church - he loves our family and we love him. He one day will be my sister's God Father - he will be surprised when the day comes that Dad ask him to be Emma's God Father.

Sam posing in his new Costume

Sam, wanted to play in his new costume - why not I said. First off I got on to make a rock you for his blog and in doing so when I went to get the code for the rock you and pasted it on his blog, it came up with two different people on it, what the heck? Two Mexicans at that - OK yeah I want to put them on Sam's blog NOT!! So I had to just get rid of it and apply the photos itself. So enjoy the pictures - he's pretty excited that he gets to wear it Saturday at Church during our Pumpkin Festival.

Apple/Book Fair

Sam, has an apple in his hand for his teacher. He ask this morning if he could take one into her and of course I said YES!! We are waiting outside the class room door for his this morning.

Then it was book fair time! I hung around school all morning helping out with the book fair before Sam's class came in. That's always a fun thing to do so for 2.5 hours I put stickers in Kindergarten books and helped with the book fair when they got busy. Sam, knew that he was just suppose to get one book and dear old Mom couldn't say no to him when he wanted more then 1. So, he got 5 new books and a smencil. His books are pictured below! Now the sweetest thing that he said to me this morning - was Mom, you know what the best part of getting books are the book fair are, I said what Sam? He said after you pay for them you can go over there sit down and read your books because you have extra time. I said Sam your so right and that's what we want the kids to do. He started reading his new Star Wars book and sat in that rocker by himself reading and I JUST LOVED IT!! When I see things like that with Sam and his interest in reading, I know I've done something right with him. I am ONE proud Mom!! I keep telling Sam how important it is for him to read and he knows.

I just so very proud of Sam and he knows it.

He really wanted to one called The Thing about Georgie, I said how did you hear about this book, he said and mind you his teacher was standing right behind us, he said my teacher has it and she's been reading it to us and it's a good book - I said OK Sam you can have that one too.

Got it from school

For the life of me I can't remember what Sam called whatever it was in his package. He told me about it at school while he and the girls were making posters for the Church. It's some kind of mouse or rat body parts that he dug out of (can't remember) I will fill in the blank later. Daddy David didn't seem to expressed with it that's for sure, but Sam was all over explaining it to him. It looked like a little face w/and eye socket, fossil bones/skeleton whatever, but strange.

Goofing off in School

After school I (Mom) walked to class to pick Sam up so that we could go to our 2nd grade teachers class to make posters. Sam, Makayla and her friend decided after the posters were done, that it was time to clown around or just plain goof off. How cute are they preforming together?

Now in order to hear the video's going, you need to go to the bottom of the page and put the music on mute.

These are the posters the children made!! Makayla made the 2nd one and Sam did the 3rd one.

Pool Fun!!!

After dinner tonight the 3 of us decided to get in the pool. Mom on the other hand didn't last that long as she got cold. But Dad and I were playing with the beach ball. It's the first time we've played with it since our cruise because Mom doesn't want to leave it outside and discolor. I can't blame her we had to go a long way to get that ball.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Sam, wore a pink shirt to school today in honor of BCA month. He was the only boy in his class to wear a classy pink shirt. I ran out to the store Wedn hunting for a pink shirt as Sam is growing way too fast....isn't he just so handsome? I think he's the best looking boy I have ever seen in my life.
