Our A honor roll.....boy!
Our Sam received 2 awards today, one for Responsibility and the other for A honor roll. We are so very proud of Sam for the accomplishments he's made in 5th grade. He was once again, the only child out of 18 in his homeroom to earn that A honor roll. The video shows him receiving that award! And attached are a few pictures taken with his teacher Ms. Lynch

Report card time....
Before I get into the report card grades, I just had to share with bus picture. Sam, has been on this bus all year and I have never taken a picture of it, up until now. And the only reason for taken this, is that next year he may not have it and the number brings luck to us. When school first started for the year back in Aug 2010 and I saw this bus, I was thinking holy crap - this is our sign from God that Emma would be here next year, being this year. You see for those of you who know me and have been following me all these years - this number 0808 happens to be our LID 08-08-06. So, as Toby (the dog) and I walked to the bus stop this afternoon, I decided to take the camera along.

Now on the way home, Sam went into complete detail all the grades he gotten this quarter. I knew by looking at the school's website site that he got 4 A's and 1 B, last quarter it was all A's. But, he was trying to explain to me that there was a computer error and the teacher wrote on his report card scratching off that B and made it an A. She indicated it was in error and would have it corrected!! WTG Sam - he will get his A-honor roll award on 3.28.11

EPCOT...is coming!!
Sam, finally brought his papers home from school for the 5th grade annual EPCOT trip to Orlando. I'm sure it's going to be one fantastic trip for our 5th grade students as they have been waiting a long time for this event to happen.
Well, I should say the students that have been at Deep Creek most of lives that know about it...and Sam would be one of them. I will also add that the price doesn't seem to be that bad considering, as for adults as well.
He is set off to go on Thursday May 12th, 2011. Me as a Mom is hoping to be picked out of what I call a dumb ass lottery to go as one of the chaperons. I call it dumb, because I've been a parent volunteer at this school for the past 6 years and some parents don't even do that. They will jump on this wagon because it's EPCOT!! I really hope I can say as they do in Toy Story...you have been chosen!!! EPCOT link here~~

I need to make a change!!
As you all know - Sam is in the 5th grade, and this blog was made for watching him grow up in Elementary school. Well, Sam will be departing elementary school in May. There are only 8 more weeks of school left, then we can consider Sam to be a middle schooler. Lord just open my eyes as my baby grows right before my eyes and becomes a young man, pro-say tween!!
So, I'm thinking and I know I will print this entire blog out for him, and place it in a binder for him. But I really need to come up with a whole brand new look for him. I guess I need to call it something like Growing up in Middle school? hummmm I wonder! Need to think about that a little more. I'm going to post this on my blog and get my reader to help me figure out what to call his new blog.
