Sam's 3rd day

This is a pretty sad looking picture - and it's because he didn't want to wear this stuff. We mentioned to him that it would protect him a lot more being on hard ground an that grass was much softer then the street. So, we covered his head, hands, elbows and knees. We had him riding in the grass just once, then Todd decided to let him do it on the road, I'm glad we live on a no though street with no traffic except for the folks who live on this end. Sam, said he felt ridicules with it on, but it saved his little butt a few times and after he was done, he thanked us for putting it on him.

This is the best one yet - he rode for a straight 21 seconds by the time he got started. Sam, started out at the end of the road and rode past our house to our neighbors.

Then he had a horrible crash, we were at the scene of the crime with his accident. It was scary as he screamed, he actually fall on top of the handle bar braking off the brake itself.

Good thing Florida is FLAT ground and at this point he doesn't need a brake because he's not going real fast.

After we cleaned him up from his horrible fall - he smiled and was very proud of himself. I ask him at bedtime how he felt, he said he felt great knowing he thought he couldn't do it, to doing it. We will try every day for at least 15 minutes till he has it down.
